Laughter Zone 101 and The Fictionals team up for Improv Against Humanity at Anvil Centre on October 11

Hey Horrible People, the wonderful Jan Bannister and Laughter Zone 101 has invited us to perform a special edition of Improv Against Humanity at the Anvil Centre on Friday, October 11! We want you all to be there!

Doors open at 7 pm, with the show starting at 8 pm, Tickets are $18.50 (plus service charges), and ages 15+ are welcome. Bar services are available too.

Using the hit party game as inspiration, the comedians will create twisted and hilarious scenes. Swapping bodies with mom? Discovering Batman’s guilt pleasure? Anything can happen at Improv Against Humanity!

Sixteen comedians, four random teams, and one epic showcase of Vancouver Comedy. The Fictionals are back at Yuk Yuks Vancouver on Friday, November 29 for ROUND 2 of the comedy competition: Knockout Punchlines!

The Improv and Stand-Up Showdown features the performers teaming up in new and hilarious combinations. Four stand-up comics will perform sets to inspire 12 improvisers to create scenes on the spot. The winning team – as voted on by the audience – will win the Knockout Punchlines Title Belt and the chance to come back to defend their title! Plus another edition of Innuendo Lightning Round!

Comedy in the park! The Fictionals are honoured to perform in Two Gents of New West‘s OpenStage 2019 in Queens Park on August 17 at 12 noon!

Queens Park Bandshell

OpenStage is a series of Saturday afternoons full of family-friendly activities and programming at the Queens Park bandshell. Supported by Arts Council of New Westminster and presented by Momentum Youth Arts, our 60 minute show will celebrate New West and summertime through classic improv games. Plus after us is “Emergency!!!” featuring dancers Charlotte Telfer-Wan, Kestrel Paton and Tomoyo Yamada;, and jazz vocalist Kaya Kurz.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome! Fun starts at 12 noon, so bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a fun day of arts!
