The Fictionals face off with Carmelahhh and The Wedding Party in Cagematch Semi-Finals on January 26!

Let’s get ready to rumble! The Fictionals are back at Instant Theatre’s Cagematch on Thursday night for an epic semi-final showdown!

Three groups enter Cagematch at Havana Theatre on January 26 to showcase their unique brand of longform improv. We’re facing off against the talented teams of Carmelahhh and The Wedding Party at 8:00 pm, with your votes deciding who returns!

Carmelahhh is the improv and sketch duo of Racquel Belmonte and Carla Mah! They have performed on shows and stages around Vancouver, including guest features with The Radical and Proud of You. Together through wacky playfulness, jabbing wit, and beautifully optimistic (though often times questionable) imaginations, they can make ANY two crazy characters become just as close as they are.

The Wedding Party is comprised of William Dunn, Tia Glenn-Cooke, Connor Langford, Robyn Roukema, Taylor Strom, and Suzi Wadge. They are graduates of Instant Theatre’s first Incubator session, and recently became Vancouver Improv Fight Club champions.

The Wedding Party charges into Vancouver Improv Fight Club on January 10 at Cafe Deux Soleils

You are cordially invited to a comedy bash at Cafe Deux Soleils. The next Vancouver Improv Fight Club features the showdown between The Wedding Party and The Questioneers on January 10!

The Wedding Party is comprised of William Dunn, Tia Glenn-Cooke, Connor Langford, Robyn Roukema, Taylor Strom, and Suzi Wadge. They are recent graduates of Instant Theatre’s first Incubator session. For the members of The Wedding Party, it was love at first sight, and they have appropriately come to specialize in longform narratives about love and relationships. Their favourite forms include romantic comedies, high society parties, and their current goal, an improvised Jane Austen piece. The Wedding Party were also winners of the current Instant Theatre Cagematch season.

Who will win in the comedy showdown at Cafe Deux Soleils? Join us on January 10 to decide for yourself. Doors at 7:30 pm, action starts at 8 pm. Tickets just $7 or $5 for students.

After VIFC, sign up for our Short Form Mixer starting at 9:45 pm! It’s your opportunity to jump onstage at Cafe Deux Soleils and jam in improv games in a fun and supportive environment! No matter your skill level, everyone is welcome! Sign-up at 9:30 pm, and it’s free to play in or watch!

Are you ready to rumble – with laughter? We’re back at Instant Theatre’s Cagematch on December 16 at Havana Theatre for another comedy showdown!

Three groups enter Cagematch to showcase their unique brand of longform improv. This time we’re up against Femme Cartel and The Wedding Party, with your votes deciding who returns next week!

femme-cartelFemme Cartel is made up Allison Melech, Willow Edwards, Ellen Macnevin, Emily Bordignon and Aidia Viziru. They met in Instant Theatre’s Conservatory program and have teamed-up to continue the silliness!
