Elizabeth Bowen and Barbara Beall join Improv Against Humanity on June 20 at Rio Theatre

5, 4, 3, 2, 1… HUMANITY! We’re excited to welcome two fantastic guests to Improv Against Humanity on Wednesday, June at Rio Theatre: Elizabeth Bowen and Barbara Beall!

Elizabeth Bowen has been a part of the Vancouver improv scene since she began performing with Vancouver TheatreSports in 1999. She was a cast member of the critically acclaimed and long-running ImprovMusical at the Improv Centre. Elizabeth was also proud to be a part of Bard On The Beach’s 25th Anniversary Season performing in Will Shakespeare’s ImproMusical.

Various film and TV projects over the years include FX’s Fargo, Freeform’s Angry Angel and a recurring role as the bespectacled Peggy in the CW’s No Tomorrow. You can see her in the upcoming feature film The Art Of Racing In The Rain and Netflix’s Green Beret’s Guide To Surviving The Apocalypse.

Barbara Beall

Barbara Beall

Barbara Beall is a professional actress living in Vancouver, BC. Recent credits include a recurring role on the TV show The 100, and appearances on iZombie, Ties That Bind and the remake of Beaches. Barbara earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting at the University of British Columbia where she also received the Hnatyshyn Foundation Developing Artist Grant for English Theatre, an annual award given to one Canadian recipient per year.

In addition to acting in film, television, and theatre, Barbara is a skilled fire dancer, improviser, and Marilyn Monroe impersonator as well as member of the Te Tini A Maui Kapa Haka performance group.
