Another epic Improv & Stand-Up Mashup is happening at Cafe Deux Soleils on Tuesday, June 18! Joining us for Pop-Up Comedy Jam is stand-up special guest Kwasi Thomas!
Kwasi Thomas began his stand up comedy career in Montreal in November of 2002. He has performed all over the country, including Laugh Shop in Edmonton, Heckler’s in Victoria, and Comedy Nest in Montreal. He also represented Montreal at the Just For Laughs Homegrown Competition. Now residing in Vancouver, Kwasi can be found performing his irreverent east coast style of stand-up on at Yuk Yuks, Lafflines, Comedy Mix, and more.
Kwasi has also been featured in television shows and movies such as “Altered Carbon”, “iZombie”, and the upcoming “SnowPiercer”.
Kwasi’s stand-up will inspire the improvisers along with your suggestions, so come join the fun! Hot Improv Tuesdays on June 18 starts at 8 pm (doors at 7:30 pm), and tickets are just $7 or $5 for students!

Multimedia artist Susan Cormier has won or been shortlisted for such writing awards as CBC’s National Literary Award, Arc Magazine’s Poem of the Year, and the Federation of B.C. Writers’ Literary Writes. She has been artist-in-attendance at Calgary’s herland feminist film festival, a founding editor of Rain City Review magazine, and a Western Canada representative on the SlamAmerica national performance poetry tour. Her current projects include beekeeping and selling honey; producing the Short Story Show podcast; and producing Canada’s longest-running live storytelling competition, the Vancouver Story Slam.
