Talented Trios face off in Vancouver Improv Fight Club on January 9

Let’s get ready to rumble… with laughter! The first Vancouver Improv Fight Club of 2017 features Talented Trios throwing down on January 9 at Cafe Deux Soleils!

The comedy showdown at CDS features the teams of Rae Lynn Carson, Alan Pavlakovic, and Scott Antifave versus Tia Jeanette, Travis Bernhardt, and Abdullah Wasfi. VIFC will also see the return of Rumble In The Jumble, a format we have not performed since 2012! Plus the audience will decide who the #HardcoreHilarity champions will be!

Doors at 7:30 pm, action starts at 8 pm. Tickets just $7 or $5 for students. Keep your new year going right with Hot Improv Tuesdays at Cafe Deux Soleils!

We’re excited to welcome filmmaker Mersiha Musovic to Ask Me Anything Live at Cafe Deux Soleils on December 19! She will be answering your questions about acting, creative and work life balance, and more!

Mersiha Musovic

Mersiha Musovic is a Vancouver-based actress who has called the West Coast home since she was 12. Mersiha has studied acting with Matthew Harrison and Anthony Meindl, and has been a part of several theatre productions at Vancouver Fringe Fest and Theatre BC Mainstage. She is also the creator, writer, producer and star of the webseries Baby Making Time!

Baby Making Time is a comedy series that follows the struggles of a couple trying to get pregnant. Sex is no longer fun; it’s an emergency routine whenever the ovulation monitor beeps. The series follows the hilarious and real life challenges many couples identify with in the absurd voyage of trying to make a baby.

Comedy gets Intimate and Interactive at Cafe Deux Soleils on Tuesday, December 19, and we hope you join the fun! Doors at 7:30 pm, show at 8:00 pm, and tickets just $7 or $5 for students!

UBC Improv takes on TWU 11:07 in University Wars V on November 14!

Two of BC’s top universities throw down at Cafe Deux Soleils on Tuesday, November 14 in Vancouver Improv Fight Club! Come on down to witness the epic clash between UBC Improv and Trinity Western’s 11:07 in University Wars V!

UBC Improv

UBC Improv has been performing at the University of British Columbia and around Vancouver since 1999. They perform regularly in Scarfe 100 lecture hall, and at events and parties all around campus. UBC Improv alumni include members of Instant Theatre, Grad School Improv, The Sunday Service and Hip.Bang, and Blind Tiger!

UBCi represented by: Koby Braidek, Nathan Hare, Jack McWilliam, Noa Kozulin and Patricia Mendes.

1107 Improv

11:07 Improv has performed improv comedy at Trinity Western University for over 30 years, and can be seen on alternate Friday nights in the Freedom Hall at 11:07 pm. With a roster of about 20 undergraduate students from various academic departments, 11:07 has become a staple of the student experience at TWU. Their alumni have gone on to perform with Vancouver TheatreSports League, Instant Theatre, and The Panic Squad.

Two teams, one mission: to walk away as Vancouver Improv Fight Club champions. At the end of the annual University showdown – featuring long-form improv and classic short form challenges – it will be audience votes that decide who is victorious! So come decide for yourself!
