Improv X Music welcomes Shirley Gnome to Cafe Deux Soleils on July 23

Impro Allegro takes over Cafe Deux Soleils on July 23 with a mashup of comedy at music! Joining us for the fun is special guest Shirley Gnome!

Shirley Gnome is an internationally acclaimed, multi-award winning musician/cabaret performer. She has wowed audiences and critics alike with sell out shows across Canada, the US, Australia and the UK. Shirley has performed at Melbourne International Comedy Festival JFL NorthWest as part of The Lady Show, and on Dan Savage’s Savage Lovecast. She is signed with 604 Records, Canada’s largest independent music label, and her latest album “Taking It Up The Notch” went to #1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts in Canada on release day.

The evening of hi-fi hilarity also features improv games, scenes inspired by classic songs and modern hits, and your suggestions. Strike up the band and come on down!

Doors to Hot Improv Tuesdays at Cafe Deux Soleils are at 7:30 pm, show starts at 8 pm! Tickets are just $7 or $5 for students!

The Comedy Concert returns to Cafe Deux Soleils on Tuesday, November 20! Joining us for Impro Allegro this month is Shane Steward!

Shane Steward is an Ontario-born musician of over 15 years who recently made the move out to Vancouver. Since arriving he has performed his solo acoustic act and a one man rock show on stages all over the city. His sets consist of originals off his two albums, “HumanKind” and “The Beginning”, as well as metal covers of pop songs, which can be found on Youtube.

Shane will play a few songs, plus help inspire scenes during Hot Improv Tuesdays! Come join the fun at Cafe Deux Soleils! Doors at 7:30 pm, show at 8 pm. Tickets just $7 or $5 at the door!

Music and mirth are being served on Tuesday, October 16 at Cafe Deux Soleils with Impro Allegro! Joining us for our comedy concert this month is Elise Hall-Meyer of EHM Sky Patrol!

Calgary Folk Festival songwriting winner Elise Hall-Meyer has been described as a soulful mix of folk and dixieland, and her unique melodies and razor sharp lyrics will pull you in and leave you humming. Elise has released two albums – Dinosaurs The EP (2011) and Songs For Adults (2016) – and has performed across Canada. Her musical approach is an ever-evolving, loving pursuit of expression, exploration and story-telling.
