Our monthly comedy mashup returns to Cafe Deux Soleils on Tuesday, September 24 with an annual celebration of some of the city’s finest arts festivals: Vancouver Fringe and Vancouver Writers Festival.
The first half of Improv X will feature short form games inspired by theatre genres and the recent Vancouver Fringe. The second half is a montage of scenes inspired by the upcoming Vancouver Writers Fest and their official Festival Reading List!
Come kick off the Fall with a night of funny! Doors at 7:30 pm, show at 8 pm, and tickets are $7 or $5 for students! See you there!
Alistair Ogden is the inaugural winner of CBC’s Next Up Competition, and has appeared at the Halifax Comedy Festival and Vancouver’s Comedy Waste Festival. He is the host and producer of Comedypants, which has toured to Vancouver Island, and is the co-host and co-producer of Magic Mic and Lil Comedy. His laid-back style of delivery coupled with witty writing and a dash of silliness will have you laughing in a very normal, not at all hypnotized, kind of way.
Alistair‘s stand-up and your suggestions will power our improvisers, so come laugh the night away! Hot Improv Tuesdays in Vancouver on September 3 starts at 8 pm (doors at 7:30 pm), and tickets are just $7 or $5 for students!
