We’re excited to welcome filmmaker Mersiha Musovic to Ask Me Anything Live at Cafe Deux Soleils on December 19! She will be answering your questions about acting, creative and work life balance, and more!
Mersiha Musovic is a Vancouver-based actress who has called the West Coast home since she was 12. Mersiha has studied acting with Matthew Harrison and Anthony Meindl, and has been a part of several theatre productions at Vancouver Fringe Fest and Theatre BC Mainstage. She is also the creator, writer, producer and star of the webseries Baby Making Time!
Baby Making Time is a comedy series that follows the struggles of a couple trying to get pregnant. Sex is no longer fun; it’s an emergency routine whenever the ovulation monitor beeps. The series follows the hilarious and real life challenges many couples identify with in the absurd voyage of trying to make a baby.
Comedy gets Intimate and Interactive at Cafe Deux Soleils on Tuesday, December 19, and we hope you join the fun! Doors at 7:30 pm, show at 8:00 pm, and tickets just $7 or $5 for students!
The Fictionals love performing comedy for a cause, and on December 23, we’re honoured to give back at Jacques Lalonde’s Comedy Cares V at Havana Theatre. The fundraiser is part of the 2nd Annual Festival of Hope, and we’ll be performing a 20-minute improv set with special guests Jess Garcia, Lisa Quinn, Laurence Chong and Shawn Major! The night also features Divinder Purewal, Richard Glen Lett, Brodie Marples, and more incredible comedians
Each show is in support of Give Boden A Better Christmas Fund, and will be a full evening of fun! Each show starts at 8pm, and admission is by donation. Give and laugh generously!
Ding! Ding! Ding! The next Vancouver Improv Fight Club on December 12 at Cafe Deux Soleils features the comedy showdown between The Feast and You, Me, & Him!
You, Me, & Him (Roxy Bieklik, Sean MacDonald, & Allison Melech, featuring special guest Jeff Cooper) are Vancouver improv pals who value grounded work and yet are no strangers to fun of the absurdity curve. Their combined training at Blind Tiger, Instant Theatre, Second Storey Theatre, and Vancouver Theatre Sports brings together multidimensional character work, strong story telling and a love of the sillies.
Inspired by the rich culinary imagery of George R.R. Martin and the deep descriptive chapters of the fictional S. Morgenstern, The Feast is three weirdos talking about food a bunch. Travis, Kai, and Tia will transport you to a different time, and meet all the interesting characters hosting and attending a feast inspired by your suggestion! Let yourself be taken over by the scents and sounds of an imaginary feast set right before your eyes and be surprised by what happens next.
Who will win this month’s comedy showdown at Cafe Deux Soleils? Join us on December 12 to decide for yourself. Doors at 7:30 pm, action starts at 8 pm. Tickets just $7 or $5 for students.
