Laughs from across Canada and around the world! The next Hot Improv Tuesday at Cafe Deux Soleils features special guests Lenny Epstein from Ontario and Steve Charlton from Australia!
Originally born and raised in Vancouver, Lenny Epstein has been improvising in rural Prince Edward County, Ontario for over 5 years with The County’s Artisanal Comedy Troupe: Taste That! He has performed at Toronto’s Big City Improv Festival (2017, 2018) and Montreal’s Mprov Festival (2017, 2018) and has, with his troupe, opened for Scott Thompson (Kids in the Hall), Steve Patterson (CBC’s Debaters), and Gavin Crawford (Because News) at the Comedy Country Festival. Lenny is also a member of improv duo Short Attention Spa. He looks forward to improvising with The Fictionals for his first show in Van City!
Steve Charlton, a Canadian now living and performing in Australia, is back in his homeland for a short visit. Cutting his improv teeth at Vancouver TheatreSports, Steve has been improvising since 2011. Since moving to Sydney 2 years ago he has trained at Improv Theatre Sydney and is now part of the improv troupe Garbage People. GP have had successful runs at Sydney Fringe Festival and are prepping for their new show “Reel to Real” in the Sydney Comedy Festival.
Lenny and Steve will join us for a fun mix of short form games and a long-form jam! Hot Improv Tuesdays on April 23 starts at 8 pm (doors at 7:30 pm), and tickets are just $7 or $5 for students!
