From speakeasies to strip clubs, the Commodore to the Clark Park Gang, Aaron Chapman is one of Vancouver’s authorities on the Vancouver’s hidden history! We’re excited to team-up with the multi-talented performer for Improv X Underground Vancouver on August 22 at Cafe Deux Soleils!
Aaron Chapman is a writer, historian, and musician who often writes about the history of Vancouver after-dark. He is the author of The Last Gang in Town, the story of Vancouver’s Clark Park Gang, and Live at the Commodore, a history of the Commodore Ballroom that won the Bill Duthie Booksellers’ Choice Award (BC Book Prizes) in 2015. His first book Liquor, Lust, and The Law about the history of the notorious Penthouse Nightclub will be re-released in the fall 2017. As a musician has toured extensively throughout the USA, Canada and in Europe. As a voice over actor, he recently featured as the voice of Commander Masamune Kid, in the Japanese anime World Trigger. He lives in Vancouver with a couple of cats.
