The next VIP (Very Interesting Person) joining us at Cafe Deux Soleils for Ask Me Anything is John Kerrigan, news editor, YouTuber, and figure skater!
John Kerrigan hosts “Kerrigan’s Countdown” a satirical news segment on YouTube. He began began his career in television news as a satellite feed coordinator at BCTV in 1997 after he graduated from BCIT’s television production program. He also completed the journalism program in 1997 and went on to work as a reporter, camera operator, news editor and technical director. In 2011 he worked on a show with Global’s Squire Barnes called “The Stanley Show.” This gave him his first opportunity to combine his love for comedy with his skills as a camera operator and editor.

John also figure skated for 18 years and was selected to join Disney on Ice in 1995. He’s performed in a number of plays and short films including the United Guys Network, a comedy seen in festivals all over the world. The short won best film at the Austin Comedy Short Film Festival and won Best Foreign Comedy at the Harrogate Film Festival in England.
We’re excited to chat with John about his passions and his upcoming projects on June 20 at Cafe Deux Soleils, and you’re invited to join the fun too! Doors at 7:30 pm, show at 8:00 pm, and tickets just $7 or $5 for students! More info on Hot Improv Tuesdays here!
