The Fictionals are celebrating the 21st Anniversary of National Poetry Month at Cafe Deux Soleils on April 25! Come enjoy Improv X Poetry aka Words In Motion and say hello to our special guest, champion poet Duncan Shields!

Duncan Shields is a two-time Vancouver Haiku Champion, the winner of the 2010 IWPS Haiku Championship, a two-time Vancouver Nerd Slam Champion, a competitor in the final CBC Poetry Face Off, member of the 2013 and 2014 Vancouver Poetry Slam teams, and the only poet to complete the Century Challenge twice. He was the Vancouver poetry Slam Master for four and a half years and he originated and maintained the Vancouver Poetry Slam YouTube channel. He has blue eyes, is a libra, likes bland burritos and he’s happy to be here.
