Get romantic with The Fictionals at The Rio Theatre’s Spectacular Spectacular

Tomorrow night, The Fictionals are proud to join a talented lineup at the Rio Theatre for the debut of their monthly variety show: “The Spectacular! Spectacular!” Billed as a story of truth, beauty and love, the show is inspired by the musical Moulin Rouge, and features show girls, comedy and more!

“We’re honoured to be sharing the stage with some of Vancouver’s finest performers,” said Daniel Chai, co-founder of The Fictionals. “This is a great opportunity for people to enjoy a great cross-section of performing arts in East Vancouver’s last independent theatre.

“I’ve worked with nearly all of the other acts on The Spectacular Spectacular bill. Trust me, you will not want to miss this.”

To complement the Moulin Rouge theme, The Fictionals will be performing a brand new comedy piece for the audience: a love story never told in just 15 minutes!

“Our piece will feaure drama, laughs and risk: everything that happens in real love,” said Daniel. “We’ll create it all on the spot with the help of our audience suggestions, so come ready to be a part of the show!”

The Spectacular Spectacular is hosted by incomparable talent The Purrrfessor (Kitty Nights), and stars The Wet Spots, Burgundy Brixx (Kitty Nights), The Cabaret du Passe: Callio P. Cock, Voracious V, Little Miss Risk, and Cameo LeCrock, and The Fictionals Comedy Co. Plus awesome house band The Broken Mirrors will be rocking it out live.
