Five Things we’re excited for at Capital City Comic Con 2018

Capital City Comic Con is taking over Victoria, BC this weekend with an epic pop culture and geek celebration! There will be panels, signings, cosplay, vendors and more at the Victoria Conference Centre and Crystal Garden! Attendees can also enjoy two shows by The Fictionals: Improv Against Humanity at 5 pm on Saturday, March 17 (19+) and Improvised Adventures of Capital City Comic Con at 12:30 pm on Sunday, March 18 (all-ages)!

And what else are we excited for at #CapCityComic 2018? So many things!

Celebrity Sightings

Patrick Warburton
Patrick Warburton

Capital City Comic Con has invited some heavy star power to join the fun, including Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Family Guy), Jay Baruchel (Goon, How To Train Your Dragon, Chapterhouse Publishing) and Erica Cerra (Battlestar Galactica, The 100, Eureka). You can get your photos taken with the celebrity guests, get their autographs, and hear their stories during their panels.

Epic Entertainment

Geekenders

As well as our two improv shows this weekend, you can also catch our friends Geekenders performing two Nerdlesque shows on Friday night: A Nude Hope and Full Frontal Nerdity! The troupe combines burlesque, geekery, drag, queerlesque, dance, and theatre into their productions, and is always a fun night out!

There is also a live performance of The Dating Game, a Sketch Battle, and a Star Wars Fan Film screening!

Cosplay Creations

Riddle

Conventions are always a great time to show off your finest cosplay, and Capital City Comic Con is no exception! Dress up and meet up with other cosplayers and fans, then check out the Kids and Adults Cosplay Contest Finals!

CCCC has also invited some amazing cosplay creators to join the action, including Riddle, Evilyn13, and Seattle Avengers!

Ghostbusters of BC and 501st Legion: Outer Rim Garrison

Ghostbusters of BC

There’s lots of great attractions happening at CCCC 2018, including a D&D, RPG and Gaming Room, Nerd City Tattoo, and Enchanted Fables. Two of our favourites at the convention are the Ghostbusters of BC and 501st Legion: Outer Rim Garrison. These community groups not only celebrate everything Ghostbuters and Star Wars, but they also do amazing charity work. Get your photo taken with them and donate to their great causes.
